A financial journalist with almost two decades of experience, Nick joined Real Deals in April 2024. He has previously worked for outlets including Dow Jones, Bloomberg and Reuters, reporting and editing from newsrooms in Europe and Asia.
Jon was previously the Editor of Euromoney’s infrastructure finance-focused title IJGlobal, managing a team of journalists based across three continents, and overseeing market-leading awards and conferences. He spent eight years at the publication, with reporting beats covering project finance transactions, infrastructure funds and M&A deals, in Europe, the Middle East and North America.
Most recently he was Senior Editor at Investment Monitor, a data and analysis service focused on global foreign direct investment trends, which he helped launch for London-based publishing house GlobalData. He began his career as a reporter at Retail Gazette.
Taku joined Real Deals in February 2023 as editor, coming from information provider TMT Finance, where he spent over four years as EMEA editor. He has been reporting on financial news since 2014, including stints at Euromoney's Metal Bulletin (now Fastmarkets) and IC Publications' African Business magazine. Taku graduated from Goldsmiths, University of London with a Master's degree in journalism.
Xhulio joined Real Deals in September 2022 as a junior reporter. Since graduating with an MSc in Global Politics from Durham University, he has worked in communications and marketing. His Financial Times internship as an Accounting and Finance undergraduate inspired a return to the newsroom.
Shivani joined Real Deals in September 2022 after graduating in financial journalism from City, University of London. She has previously worked as an assistant producer for CNBC in India and has also interned with Agence France-Presse. As a 20-year-old undergraduate studying economics, she covered India’s federal budget from the parliament, which drove her to take up a career in journalism.
Matthias started out in reporting as a researcher at The Legal 500, exploring legal market developments worldwide. Prior to this, he completed a LLM in technology, media and telecommunications law at Queen Mary University of London.
Previously a legal professional, Matthias also has a LLB in international and European law from The Hague University of Applied Sciences and held various legal assistant positions across public international law, music, tech, and corporate litigation.
Alice established The Drawdown in 2017. She previously headed up communications and marketing at a UK early-stage venture capital firm, where she managed investor reporting and marketing activities. Prior to that, Alice was Editor of European private equity publication unquote” where she directed all content and events including The British Private Equity Awards.
Alice began her career at London-based publishing house Caspian Media, where she was a reporter for private equity-focused publication Real Deals. She then went on to join Argus Media, where she was Acting Editor of Argus FMB Ammonia.
